I also had trouble growing Water Sprite as my ph would get too low from useing a lot of peat in my tanks. I visited Chariie Grimes fish room about that time and he gave me a start of Java Fern that I have in all my tanks now. I think that stuff will grow almost anywhere and was the answer for me. Now I can concentrate on spawning the fish, for me thats what it`s all about.
