Re: [Killietalk] Tubifex Tubifex

I also raise tubifex worms, I use a 10g tank and throw in all my used peat
as substrate, I have used sand but found it impossible to harvest the worms.
I feed them any dead fish, left over BBS and when I have nothing live for
them I feed vitamin flakes.

Harvesting them is an ordeal ....perhaps some harvesting tips will come my
way.
I mainly usae the tubifex to feed the fish when I am going to be gone a
while.

Water sprite thrives in the nasty water.

I have one 15 gallon tank on my automatic water change system
dedicated to tubifex and moina. When you feed heavily (ground up
Ziegler pellets), you can harvest enough tubifex each day for a few
tanks as well as some moina. I just have mulm as a substrate
although people say to use sand. I also aerate with a rgid airline.
