Re: [Killietalk] Tubifex Tubifex
Thanks for the info..honestly I was not to concerned about the pathogen
problem..
I can say that this species of Tubifex worm is a really sweet .. they do
not need the massive water changes that the North American one needs. they
have developed the ability to live in a low turn over water supply.. Living
in the Tropics there are all kinds of wonders that you don't get in a
temperate climate. These critters live for the rainy season.. and come out
of dormancy once the rain begins..which we have learned they can do..
My wife and I have searched high and low thru the net and but can not find
any general information about the life cycle.. ..Meaning the time from egg
laying to sexual mature adult.. Myself I am content on just checking
Bromeliad's off and on collecting them as they are available.. Who could
complain about a yard full of Bromeliads But my wife is on a
mission...GRIN.. and wants to know the life cycle.. I told here that there
were brilliant minds in this Group and surely somebody would know..so I
would ask...
Thanks
Eric
