I lived in Ecuador for about a year, three years ago and at that time, it was
easy to send eggs into and out of Quito.  Both soft paper and very small boxes
worked equally well.  I never lost a shiment while I was there.  I mostly used
bubble wrap CD type mailers.
If I could have made a decent living and emotionally adjusted to the robberies,
I would probably still be in Quito. The climate is year-round perfect for me
(never hot and never cold), the mountian scenery is simply stunning, my wife is
from there and one is in easy reach of Riv's and to the North, SAA's.
