Re: [Killietalk] I'm Curious About "Not to China"

I am a Chinese, and I believe Chinese are as honest as anyone else in the
world. :-)

China is a large country, and it may get above 90 degree Fahrenheit in late
April in South China but below 10 degree Fahrenheit in North China.
Moreover, most of the postmen in China do not read English. The package may
need to be re-sorted and even being interpreted before it gets to the
receipt. This takes more time for the transmission. It would be better to
first ask your Chinese friend where he lives, and also ask him to send you a
Chinese address (in *.jpg format for you to print it out) and stick this
address on the package.

And bearing in mind that our postmen in small cities ride bicycles, :-)

Happy shipping to China.

Regards,
Xie Min

I get a respectable % of trade request from China (and Singapore); I truly
can't see the Chinese (as a whole)being anymore honest/dishonest than anyone
else... Unfortunatley however, thus far the reality has been different:
outside of Japan, I've yet to complete a single trade to Asia: The 1st few
times I was sucker enough to send mine 1st, then I wised up and now say:
"OK, no trades needed; the eggs are free, you just pay postage"...in either
case, I never hear from the prospective "trader" again... So who knows?
Could be a statistical blimp as opposed to a trend....I am adding caution
from now on tho...

I have been noticing lately the tag on more and more killifish egg ads,
"Will not ship to China".

Are people having trouble shipping here and if so, what might I ask are the
problems?

Seems like more Chinese are raising these fish but because the country is so
big and for me the language is a problem, it's difficult to get together.

Thoughts?
