Re: [Killietalk] Blackworms?

Hello group,

It appears everything about the feeding and maintenance of this live
food has been reviewed. It also appears that live foods have less
effect on our caged watery live stock than many alternatives.

Decaying TetraMin dry food flakes will drop the pH in 3 days time in
a 5 gallon tank from pH 7 to pH 3 even with 350 ppm Carbonate
hardness. One could only imagine what happens with frozen or freeze
dried foods left to ferment in the captive live stock's confinement.

Think about the natural environment - Lots of Living Foods and Lots
of FRESH water by the moment. The holding tank for the natural stream
is as large as the sky is full of water vapor. Big difference
between our tanks and the source of the live stock . . . .

It would seem there are only 2 important factors to be concerned about:
Keep the live food alive and
Change the water in the Septic tank as often as possible.

Just think about how really small the environment the fish are maintained in.

Seriously, Drain the Septic tank regularly - or teach the fish to do
it . . . :-/
