[Killietalk] Killie Rodeo show summary

Good Morning Killietalk.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank all those who sent entries to
Killie Rodeo this weekend. The show went pretty much as expected.

We were VERY pleased and surprised by the quality of the mail in
entries we received. Thanks to WAKO, MKKA and TAKO for some really great
fish (Gary Greenwood, John Metzger, Greg Schoenberg, Guy Bagley, Howard
Galloff, Doug Ebeling, Martin Fisher, Art Leuterman, Craig Rees)

And thanks for sending the "good stuff". Wow! We really appreciated the
jorgenscheeli, various elberti strains, rare Rivulis, etc.

The show results are attached above if you can open the Excel
spreadsheet. We will send your trophies, checks and hard copy show
results out before the end of this week.

A few comments: we intentionally designed this as a "low maintenance"
show. The goal was to just have a good time with good friends and good
fish and for no-one to have to work him/herself to exhaustion. (we did
that last year). It was also a "we did it" celebration for all the
people who worked on convention 2004. We didn't concern ourselves with
making a profit. In fact, we spent a portion of our convention 2004
income and paid for the banquets of each member and his wife. In short
"a good time was had by all".

Best in Show was a spectacular pair of A. sp. Oyo from our own Wolfgang
Schickler. Interestingly, the runner-up was Wolfgan's pair of gold
australe. Thanks to Brian Perkins for getting us some N&RSC fish for the
auction.

Any questions, just ask.

Sincerely

Edd
