It's not about the hobbyist, it's about the bottom line (thin glass is
cheaper to ship) and safer (fewer law suits, supports the bottom line).  }:)

Some companies have changed to temper glass to keep hobbiest from drilling
them.  It forces us to buy the higher dollar "reef ready"
tanks that come pre-drilled.  It is all about the bottom dollar.
