I was drilling a 10 gallon tank tonight when suddenly there was an ear-shattering "Crack" and the back of the tank was cracked into hundreds of small pieces! Apparently the back of the tank was made from tempered glass! I was not aware that smaller tanks might be made out of tempered glass. I believe that the tank was Perfecto brand and may have been sold under the "Top Fin" label from Petsmart (see the attached picture of the inspection label). Has anyone else had this problem with drilling the backs of tanks? Is there any way to visually tell tempered glass from plate glass? Perfecto's web site is useless. I have also attached a photo of what happens when you drill tempered glass in case anyone in curious. I guess from now on its All-Glass tanks or nothing! Rich Pierce North Attleboro, MA
