[Killietalk] PVC Manifolds
I glue my joints and insure an airtight seal by twisting the wet
joint. No problems with this part of the project. I then hacksaw
and splice if I need changes. Even the 1 1/2 inch pipe is relatively cheap.
I had some problems with the screw in valves. You need a brad point
drill to make to holes for the tread tap. Other drills tend to make
oval or chipped edged holes. I had some leaky valves where I over
taped the holes. About 1/3 of the tap is enough and gives a good
grip on the screw in valves. I used the whole length on one and the
valve blew out, at 3/4 of the length they leaked.
This was a small system with a linear pump.
