[Killietalk] Sustitute/supplemental food
Big John, et. al.,
Any thought to using tuna packed in water? If you mince it and feed
carefully I have had quite a few fish eat it. The problem is you only get a
few days use out of a can before it goes bad unless of course you are feeding
a lot of fish. I haven't tried freezing portions to lengthen usage. I know
Dan Katz uses tuna catfood as part of a paste preparation he feeds his fish
as a staple food. However, when you can get the tuna for 40-50 cents for a 6
ounce can on sale, its worth the try. Also, the same for pink salmon at 80
cents on sale. LaCorte talked about getting bluefins from people who caught
a lot of fish deep sea fishing and gave away their extra fish. He would
freeze a filet?? and grate off portions to feed fish.
I assumed Lonnie meant, wala, hooking a 200 pounder+ like myself or Anderson.
