them to a tank of guntheri and they showed no interest in them.
I have read some of the old accounts of killies eating ants. Is it
possible that we were subjected to translation errors?
I can easily see killies eating most termites, but also rejecting
vile-tasting ants. Is it possible that the European languages of the
writers made that distinction difficult? Or is it just that our
southwestern nasty ants are so different from rainforest ants? [IDK
about midwestern ants, but if they live with Anderson, I certainly
have my suspicions.]

Suspensions well taken, however, I heard Nevin speak of collecting
ants during some of his visits to the dark continent and trying
feeding his collected fish with them. They didn't eat them either.
The collected fish were content with fruit flies he was able to
culture with wild fruit.
