Re: [Killietalk] Microworm cultures
Warm water (4 oz.) and a pinch Fleischmann's instant yeast and enough
Gerber's bay oatmeal to make a very thick cream. if the yeast is working it
will make bubbles in the cereal, add the starter culture of worms after the
culture reaches room temperature. In one day you should see the worms all
over the side of the container if you have not smothered them. I use plastic
bowls like the ones ready whip comes in and I cut a 2 inch square in the top
and put in a 2 1/8 th " 1' thick piece of foam rubber to allow the air in
and keep the fruit flies out.

Subject: [Killietalk] Microworm cultures
Hi all, I got my first microworm culture in years this last October and
have
been able to establish new cultures. Suddenly, every culture I've tried
to
start in the last 2 months have soured or gotten too watery. Any
suggestions. Ed Brandt
