Re: [Killietalk] New Member
That is why I said find a locally owned shop as if you ask about strange fish they normally try to get you to the owner or shop manager who knows about ordering the fish. I tried this in a few chain stores and the attendants do not know anything but how to read the tank to price the fish and how to bag them if they know this. Every locally owned shop I have went into and asked about any type fish or snail I was either responded to or they took me to the person on hand that would know. One of these said I would have to call the owner in the morning to get a price but told me the fish were available on the list as I was looking for mystery/apple snails at the time.
BTW drop the Mr. I am but a lowly TN hillbilly and proud of it. The only reason I even use my real name is I got tired of people on the net hiding behind a screen name I no longer trust such people and do not expect other to trust me without it.

Mr. John Cox, Try finding a pet shop in Syracuse, NY that sells Killies.
That's impossible. In the mid and late 70's you could find a few species, but
now there isn't a one available and when you speak to an associate in a pet
shop, they don't even know what a killifish is. (What - A Killer Fish? We
don't sell anything like that.) Ed Brandt
