I have pictures of my racks and the problems associated with the 'sams'
steel racks on my website.
Listed below.
The steel shelves work well for 5g tanks but not well for 10g tanks, for
several reasons.

Why don't y'all post some shots of these racks ya built and are holding up
yer tanks. I'll post mine is the morning (4:30 AM) after I get rid of the
wife for 10 days. she is going out to Mill Valley and Carmel by the sea.
There are no good bait fish in that area so I will not ask if any are ava.
for her to buy and bring back.

David,
Assuming that you mean vertical space between the rows, I would suggest
that 10 to 12 inches be the minumum from the top of your tanks to the
next shelf.. I have a couple rows that are less than that because of the
space I had and it is often awkward netting out fish, etc.
