    Most people who build racks over do it as far as support. I know that
statement will cause some discussion. But I have set-up many fish stores
including my own, and never had a problem. If you give me the length of the
area, the height of the room the size tanks you want and if you are putting
them end to end or side by side I can give you my recommendation on how to
build a rack.
    I have a rack in my room that is 12' long. It has 17 - 51/2 on top and
26 10 gallons below, on two levels,  the top of the 5 1/2 are 70" from the
floor, the bottom row of 10 gals are 24" from the wall and the top of the 10
gals on the bottom row are 33" from the floor. I still change water with a
hose and I have no problems with access.
