Re: [Killietalk] Bill Gallagher's e-mail address
Hi All, Me get something done needing the approval of 5-7 other people;
I never operated that way? I think it's called moribund? Reading the rest
of the messages; I've got to go with Bill on this one and state, "I never
agreed with the AKA and it's judging standards." Sorry, Charlie! I always
viewed "Show Fish" as the IDEAL for a species, an exceptional specimen.
Most all start out with "potential" to be breeders but this is the one
pair that actually fulfilled that potential. You see a lot can happen
along the way but THIS pair made it. When I have THAT pair in my fish
room; I'm not sending it off for the possibility of a trophy based on
someone else's criteria. In 1972 I built a 16 by 32 ft. fish house and
won many trophies that by 1975 were thrown in a dumpster because they
literally fell apart from the South Vietnam like humidity. And Lee, How
come everyone(including the beginners) wants A. jorgenscheeli and N.
furzeri,R. xiphidius,G. zonatus, etc. and no one wants Fp. gardneri"
misaje", N. guentheri and even Luc. goodei and A. striatum? Ed B.: A few
years ago I sent 6 pair of fish to an affiliates show and got back a
check for $14: that's worse than any LIKA or MAKA or UNYKA club meeting
auction. It did cover postage and a letter what a wonderful and generous
person I was but that doesn't pay the bills. Fire away! But I don't
surrender so easily(stubborn,thick headed,opinionated).
