Other than the fact that they clump, I found dechorionated eggs to hatch much more quickly, and they have the advantage of being edible even without hatching.  I have experienced a good hatch in 12 hours using dechorionated eggs and constant illumination/heat.

I can't back this up with data but it certainly seems that dechorionating does slightly improve the hatch rate.
