Yes, the price is much lower here in China.  I get my 90% BBS eggs here at
less than US$8 per can, and I once bought 4 all glass tanks (from 1 gallon
to 4 gallon) at about US$2.  However we don't have channel to get good
killifish here.

I along with Curt like to support the local guys when I can.  However I
remember that when I was gathering donations for the AKA Convention last
held in NY, Steve Rybicki of Angels Plus said in his reply to me that he had
no interest in a donation to the AKA Convention as he had no interest in
killies or the AKA.  His was the only response like this and I promptly
stopped buying his sponge filters and tubing.  Perhaps he has changed his
tune but at the time of the last NY Convention, that was his position.
Maybe he was having a not-so-good day and of course we all have one of those
occasionally.

When I lived in Istanbul I was buying my eggs in Bulgaria through Nako but
now that I'm in northern China, I buy my eggs from a company in the next
province down which is also on the Bohai Sea.  I get cans for 100 RMB ($12)
including EMS shipping.  The hatch rate is 90%+ 

We also have a rather large tropical fish market here and for 10 months of
the year, live daphnia is available for 1 RMB (approx. 12 cents) a portion.
One portion is enough to generously feed 15 tanks easily.  Many other live
foods are also available.

Ten gallon tanks can be purchased at the market for 10 RMB (approx $1.20)
