[Killietalk] Re: Fp. gardneri 'Misaje' eggs Q's
Hi Joseph,
I am the KCC coordinator for this fish and would love to send you some. In
deed, we are needing more people to be involved with the maintenance of this
species. All it involves is keeping the fish, and once a year swapping eggs
or fish with other members and sending me a report on how many you have.
>From the small size of mosquito eggs the "smallest" larvae must be tiny. In
that case the fry could eat them, but I wonder about collecting them. One
would have to use a brine shrimp net. From my casual observations of
mosquito larvae, the smallest I have noted might be a little too big for
just hatched fry, but perhaps I am not seeing the smallest of them since my
collecting has been with a standard mesh fish net.

Thanks guys for the help! If anyone does happen to have extra eggs
that they are tossing out of this location I have room for them.
Planning on raising some of them in outdoor tub/pond for this summer(a
bit late to start but I should have a few months still available).
Will the fry be big enough when hatched to take the smallest size
mosquito larvae along with BBS?
