RE: [Killietalk] RE: Feeding Daphnia

Squirrels feed my daphnia by falling in and creating a good bacteria
culture, after a week it is doubled in size and 300 gallons of water is
white with loads of red daphnia and skeeters not to mention the fly maggots
all of them make good fish foods. I should have taken some photos of it but
I was lazy and left the smelly mess to nature.

I keep a couple of garbage cans outside in the summer and let mother nature
take her course. Well, this year, mother nature managed to coerce a mouse
into one of the trash cans. Being the lazy one that I am, I left it. Well,
I've been getting quite large netfuls out of that trash can as compared to
the others, probably 5-6 times as much daphnia. I think I know what I will
do with the mice I get next winter from the traps I set!
