RE: [Killietalk] RE: filter media

Yes Charlie grimes has.
He has a very funny talk it starts off this is one dead fish and goes on to
schools of red, Yellow and blue dead fish.
I have many years ago in Boston when I bought a large block of it from
building 19. I take a small chunk of it and taste it if it tastes bitter or
smells weird do not use it. I think some of the more expensive foams have
arsenic in them to retard mold and mildew.

Has anyone had any experiences (especially if bad) when using the synthetic
foam they sell for making seat cushions in constructing homemade sponge
filters?
