I suppose natural sunlight do help to enhance the color of fish, at lease it
does to my N. flammicomantis.  I have two tanks of this fish, one is placed
near the window with good sunlight and the other in corner of the room lit
by fluoroscope.  Same water and same diet.  Obviously, fish in the first
tank have much more brilliant color than that of the second tank.
