Just one anecdote from yesterday. I took my two grandsons fishing for 
sunfish. The 5 year old caught one about 6 inches long and we put it in fresh water 
from the pond in a white bucket. Within a few minutes, the very dark intense 
colors faded to much lighter colors. It could just be a "chameleon" effect. 
Maybe the whiter, turbid water has the same effect. Brian, did those collected 
fish stay that way?
