Yes, I would certainly add salt at least. I gave the conditions found in
most Notho habitats because someone asked for it - I do not necessarily
recommend that we should try to duplicate those conditions in our
fish-rooms. In captivity, most Nothos will do best in fairly hard water,
preferably alkaline, although I don't think that the pH is a critical issue,
provided it does not become too acidic.

It is important to remember that in our tanks we have a far more restricted
system that cannot even begin to compare with that in the natural habitats.
There is absolutely no way that we could ever duplicate all the conditions,
and the factors that control those conditions, that prevail in the habitats.
