Re: [Killietalk] Aphanius fasciatus
I was fortunate enough to get two pairs of the Aphanius mento at the
convention. Brought them home and put them in my 55 gal outside pool
that we have set up for the birds. It has a small waterfall and water
hyacinths and water lettuce. This is something I have always wanted to
try with the Aphanius species. I checked the pond out a few days ago and
discovered many fry of different sizes among the the floating plant
roots. Will keep an eye on them and will bring some fry in to raise up
in the fish room. Hope to have some to offer in the future.

I have long been looking for Aphanius species (tolerate lower temperatures),
particularly Aphanius mento... so unless I am the only one (possible but not
likely), there would be a demand for this fish... Carolyn
