[Killietalk] Re: Browsers

The main problem I have had with various web sites it that web developers
insist on "enhancing" the interface with tables, frames, and style sheets. I'd
be very willing to forgo all of the "slick enhancements" in exchange for plain
text and no forced formatting.

First, I urge you to download and try Firefox (from www.mozilla.org). It
works much better than IE on the Mac. The latter I know has some issues
and I suspect you are seeing a rather bizarre color scheme on aka.org if
you are using it. That is not the case on IE on the PC, but it reflects
inconsistent browser interpretation of the stylesheets used to control
the site's color schemes. When I have some hours to spare I have to try
to find a fix for that, but it is not a trivial thing. Alternatively,
try Apple's own Safari browser, which is pretty good and correctly
renders the site.
