[Killietalk] Re: Houston Water
David,
The easy answer is we never know. The Houston system has a mix of water
supplies from ground to surface from many different sources and these are
mixed and switched without warning.
Many of the outlaying areas have their independent well / other systems
(MUDs, Municipal Utility Districts) that supply very limited areas; ie, a
subdivision of two. So the water can change every mile or two. My MUD
supplies me with GH of 5 and KH of 11. My previous residence on another
corner of a one hour triangle was GH and KH both around 7.
Have any idea as to which area you are interested in?

To someone in Houston - what is the tap water quality? Hard? soft? I am
thinking hard -but hard or hard-hard-rock-hard.
