[Killietalk] re: hydra/ US postal shipping

thanks for the advice on the Hydra guys. My main reason for wanting to rid the tank of Hydra was I assumed they would sting fish being a cousin of the anemone. Will they do this or am I imagining things? My cories, bristlenose, Rams and even some of the other fish hung out under there but I don't see them down there anymore. If they won't sting the fish, I may just leave them there but then again I do remove some of the plants from time to time and add them to my fry tanks so it might be best. I don't know right now, just wanted to figure out what to use. Sounds like Fluke tabs are the overwhelming choice and the most obtainable anyways.

As for the comment about the code on US postal shipping: I have received about 5 shipments of fish and eggs from Minnesota, Hawaii, Thailand and a few other places in the last month and all were shipped US Postal, most priority mail, one certified. None were marked fish but a couple marked perishable. All came in just fine, no problems. Other than the nothos eggs, the fish and eggs were either in breather bags and wrapped in newspaper for insulation or some eggs were in small plastic containers with water and wrapped as well. The boxes were lined with styrofoam and you couldn't tell what was inside with the box in hand. I think if you ship them in this manor and just don't say what's in there, they won't know the difference. anyway, thanks for the help guys, KYle
