[Killietalk] Copper sulphate for velvet treatment and the viability of spermatozoa
Hi all,
I'm currently using CuSO4 for the treatment of a mild case of velvet in
my Nothobranchius annectens. The dosage is being kept at about 0.3mg/L.
So far, the fishes are fine and still spawning, while the snails in the
tank is also very much alive.
I'm just wondering if CuSO4 has any effect in the spermatozoa, as if
there is, then the eggs' fertility may be severely compromised.
Anyone has any idea?
Cheers,
