Re: [Killietalk] Re-american flag fish
As odd as it sounds, have you checked at a PetSmart?
They often carry them and if none of your local
independents carry them, that is an option.
Not because the dealer is PetSmart, but because those
fish are circulating in commercial channels, I would
quarantine them and treat them with one of the pure
anthelmintics mentioned by Charles Harrison or with
one of the commercially produced anti-parasite
treatments. Those meds usually have an anthelmintic in
them too, though manufacturers are a little shy about
listing them. (Trying to dazzle the peasants?) The
anti-parasite stuff is hard on worms, also
surprizingly effective against crustaceans which hold
onto and gnaw on fish.
All the best!
