Re: [Killietalk] AKA Conventions............. plain out begging !!!

That will be great.......................

I am sure we can find each other, or I will ask at the fish drop off area if they will collect the labeled fish . with my name on it......................

I will be judging so I am sure to be in the fish room early.............

Let me try to clarify, I am looking for specimens that would make ideal representation of what the species should look like. With annuals, often the older males are not very attractive. They bulk up and do not look good, many older males lose some of their color etc.........................

Nice fish .................. a few extras of the same species will be fine, but not many, I have to house these fish and feed them until they are photographed ...... The fish you mentioned would be welcomed.

Thanks again..

Tony

I'll bring some. Will you have some sort of designated drop off area, or how will I find you?
By "sub adult", do you mean you don't want full grown males? I have some bachelor males Script. chaytori 'Ngabu' but they are fully grown. Also, do you want just one of each species, or several?

On a similar subject, does anyone else want a chaytori male or 2?

Tony, I have nicely colored sub adult males of these if you want them:
Austro. nigripinnis 'Villa Soriano'
Simp. bointonei

Good Evening everyone,

I am writing in hopes that you may be able to help the AKA in its publishing efforts.

If you have any extra sub adult males ( that is fish that are not deformed and are showing adult coloration) of any species that you can spare, I am hoping you might bring them to the convention .

Since I am driving I can take the fish home with me, Now the purpose, ...

Every new photo is another chance to share with everyone the beauty and diversity of killies through the AKA publications. I can only photograph what I maintain, and sadly I cannot maintain all killies.

If you will bring extra males, they will be photographed and added to the AKA image library for future publishing. I will also send you a personal photo of the fish for your own non-commercial use. Once I have an acceptable photo, I will then preserve the fish and donated it to Dr. Glen Collier at the University of Tulsa in your name..........

Your generosity will help our association and its publishing efforts and the scientific community by building one of the most complete collections of Killies and their DNA data in the world.

Thanks to those of you who can help.........................

Politely begging........
