RE: [Killietalk] Diapteron, male aggression
I have seen my male D.abacinum behave rather
aggressively. This was especially evident when I took
pictures and noticed the ripped fins on both males and
females. I house the two pairs in a 5-gallon tank
choked, to the point of no swimming room, with mops.
My D.abacinum are housed in the upper 70s f. I have
had them producing under a month now and I have more
then a dozen eyed up eggs. I believe there is strong
evidence to suggest that they are not as finicky about
temperatures as is popularly believed. I believe for
me it is too early to cry success, if after a while I
have abacinum to offer then perhaps I can say more.
For now I can say my fish are healthy and producing in
the upper 70's.
