Re: [Killietalk] Diapteron, male aggression

If the Diapteron are kept in the upper 60s F/ 19-21 C,
will the males be relatively less aggressive? Placid?

It is pretty anecdotal, but I would like to say that
there is a tendancy for many fishes, including
killies, to be less aggressive if they are kept at the
lower end of their comfortable range, if they are well
fed and if their water quality is a good as can be.

Thanks and all the best,
Scott

viciousness of some Diapteron males, but anyone
getting into them will quickly learn about that. The
other surprise to a few is that they like much cooler
water than most "tropicals."
