RE: [Killietalk] RE: Airports for National

Ronald Regan Washington National Airport(National) is on the Metro line. That is the cheapest option, according to WMATA $3.90 peak $3.25 off Peak. The other airports have options to link to Metro, but not as quickly or easily as National. Unfortunately you will probably see fares higher going into National than BWI or Dullas.

WMATA.COM has information on public transportation in the area. If you are planning on going into DC at all, Metro is the way to go.

How much luggage you have is something to think about. You will have to change trains once if you take the correct trains. I think it might be about a block of walking from the Metro to the hotel.

I'm sure others will chime in as well.

Al,

Too bad for those that can't make it to the National, but that's not why I
asked my question. I asked it to find out how I CAN make it there. Any
responses regarding that are appreciated.

My plans have changed from driving to the National to flying. So I need
some help on which airport to use and how to get to the hotel.

>From the website:
The Washington Metro Area is unique in that it is serviced by 3 airports:
Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Washington DC for domestic travel.
Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) just south of Baltimore,
Maryland.
Dulles International Airport (IAD) in suburban Northern Virginia.

On Killietalk, somebody mentioned that one of these airports was linked to
the hotel by a subway. Which one is it? Is the subway the best way to do
this trip or should I just rent a car? Does the hotel have a shuttle to any
of the airports?

Your local knowledge is appreciated. Thanks, Doug.
