 I realize that you have a lot of excess time on your hands and this lady is
trying to get a good thing started here so why not make up 3 sets of slide
one for you one for her and one for the AKA national auction coming up. (
Joke that was a joke in very poor taste. )

The problem with a permanent mount of an egg is that you will have to
fix it in some way. Otherwise the egg will quickly degrade. Fixing in
most fixatives will make the egg opaque. You would need to clear it in
something like glycerin, which would require a water soluble mounting
medium. In other words, what you are trying to do is not simply done.
