[Killietalk] South Texas Killies/ Fundulus zebrinus
I know Fundulus Zebrinus (plains killiefish) is found as far south as Dallas (that's where mine came from) but not sure just how far south. they seem to be fairly widespread according to a paper I found by the department of wildlife. And for my post hi-jacking attempt, is anyone breeding these fish? I've had a dozen in a 10 gallon with live plants and mops top and bottom for about 6 months now and not an egg yet. they are comfortable and I'm feeding tons of live, frozen and processed foods. they eat everything as it was their last meal and even come to the front of the glass to wait for more so I don't think they're stressed. any tips to trigger? I've tried cold water changes and warm water changes with no luck, more and less mops, top and bottom mops and more live plants but nothing. thanks, Kyle Oklahoma
