Re: [Killietalk] Dart Frog Terrarium

I've seen Pseudepiplatys annulatus do very well (but not breed) in the channels at the front of dart frog terrariums.

Hi - In talking the other day, with a gentleman that works with Poison Dart
Frogs, he asked me about having killifish in the terrariums. Several of his
very large terrariums have any area in the front that have 2 to 3 or so
inches of water covering an area of about 2 feet by 6 inches. I was a little
hesitant to recommend any killies, certainly my Nothos wouldn't do very well
under those circumstances. The water had a lot of tannins in it and was
apparently quite soft. Does anyone have any suggestions for killies that
would do reasonably well under those conditions. He was talking about using
Fp. gardneri, which I felt probably wouldn't work. My suggestion off the top
of my head was some of the Lampeyes. Anyone have some better ideas?

been a problem, at least at the moment.
