Re: [Killietalk] USPS
Direct shipping by air cargo works, but is more expensive than USPS. They do
require either a certified shipper or an inspection (extra fee) to assure
proper packing. Getting certified by one airline does not carry over to another
airline. So, for the occasional shipper, a one time inspection fee makes more
sense. The other negative side of this is you have to take it to the air cargo
area of your airport and that is sometimes difficult to find and more distance
than the local post office. Priority Mail is the first choice for a small box
of a few pairs of fish. Reduce sloshing noises by filling breathable bags.
