FedEx is a pain to deal with unless you have an existing "Fish shipping"
account. FedEx's packaging department needs to inspect your packaging to
make sure it won't leak and then they will make you sign a contract waiving
any liability for dead fish. Search FedEx. COM for live fish or live
animals and speak to the live animals desk. It's a pain.
I'm looking into switching over to DHL especially for incoming international
shipments. It seems virtually impossible for someone to use FedEx from
Germany for example but DHL would love to carry the package.

I find it hard to believe that fedex won't accept live fish, as 5 or 6 of
the LFS I frequent get weekly shipments of fish delivered FedEx.
