RE: [Killietalk] USPS regulations

I will write a letter to both of my Senators tonight about poor Post Office
service and their cut backs if I get any replies I will post them to the
list..

Oh Yeaah, they'll listen! Have a million dollar campaign contribution to
make?

(excuse the cynicism)

The buck stops at the top. So contact your politicians about the mail
service. :)

Karen,

I wish I would pay only $60 for 100lbs. Right now I pay $70 for 35
pounds.
The airlines want at least 24 shipments (per airline so I can only use 1
airline) per year to be a "Known shipper" If I am not a known shipper
they
will not accept packages. I think they also only do airport to airport.
That is a problem for people living an hour away from an airport. Do you
ship using airlines?

Update. I called three people at the USPS offices in Syracuse NY. There
are
several more pieces of information gathered. One person said that the
airlines are no longer accepting any mail from the USPS so the USPS has
to
ground transport everything (express mail still goes through FedEx but
FedEx
never took live fish as mail from the USPS)

I then talked to the person who sent them the orders (memo) and they
said
that the airlines are no longer accepting live animals or fish but I
could
use them directly.
The person who sent them the memo said the same thing and suggested a
grass
roots effort to get the airlines to accept mail again.
