RE: [Killietalk] Feeding Brine Shrimp

Why not use regular rock salt as that is what makes the lake salty when it
rains. I do and it works fine to raise the shrimp up to adult size. I use a
20 gallon long and fill it with well water and add salt to bring it up to
salinity and then feed yeast water daily just enough to cloud the water
after a week you may need to feed twice a day. If the water evaporates do
not refill the tank just let the water level go down.

It is no big thing to raise some Artemias, but its a hard work to get them
in big numbers and regularly.
For me the main problem is not the food, you need much salt (I use Seawater
with additional regular salt, salinity about 1,035 to 1,05).
The second importend thing is having a lot of light.
I feed green flake food, sometimes normal flake food.
I hatch my BS in the same salinity, and if I do not empty the bottles, I
often raise some of them by chance without any additional work.
