Re: [Killietalk] Shipping Blackworms
Hi guys,
I got a 1/4 package of blackworms in a week ago Thursday. I took the worms
out and put about a TBS of worms into small plastic fish bags with a small
amount of water, basically I packaged them for resale. Had a customer come
in this morning who needed some live food to stimulate some problem feeders,
boss checked bags of worms, still clumped, still alive. They have been
regrigerated, but have not been changed out of the original bags in 9 days.
Hope this helsp with the longevity for shipping question. Only MY
experience, but thought I'd share
As to culturing them, I have no problem keeping them alive, I did experiment
with putting a heater in one tank, bad move, they all died, but the
coldwater culture is still going strong, and I have lots of small worms, so
they seem to be reproducing well for me.
