Re: [Killietalk] Shipping Blackworms

I think it is going to be tough, as I assume the fastest route would still take a few days. Also, how likely are they to be held up in customs?

If I were going to try this I'd pack small quantities, a couple of teaspoonfuls, in individual breather bags. I'd make sure the bags can breath by separating them with cardboard dividers, or something. Then I'd pack the bags in a good styro with plenty of those frozen gel packs, well separated from the worms by layers of newspapaper. You obviously don't want the worms to freeze.

Then I'd ship them by the fastest route possible, having done what can be done at the other end to expidite their passage through customs. Then I'd cross my fingers.

Whether the excercise is worthwhile is debatable. They are difficult to culture in any quantity.

Hi

Can anyone help me figure out a way to send blackworms
to Argentina? I heard you cant get them there so my
friend asked me to send him some. But the problem is
the shipping since they do need clean water and a good
amount of space so they dont die on the way over
there. Anyone ever shipped blackworms before. Ill be
thankfull for any kind of help. Thanks
