I just refuse to believe that the cyst are that sensitive. I have
hatched out way to many over the years to worry about it. Like I said
a couple of days back I open my cans in my fishroom twice a day, every
day and have for many years. I have always kept my open cans in the
freezer and will continue to do so. I mean come on guys this is not
rocket science. It is a pretty easy task that I learned to do when I
was 7. I am 39 now. Unless you have a very serious humidity problem
the cyst will be fine.

Given the recent threads about storing brine shrimp eggs once the

Hi Burt,
Some cysts used to come with a bag of dessicant in the can. No more.
I
think this is because they found an optimum storage humitity that is
well above zero percent. Until the experts advise otherwise, I do not
use them.
Of course, they would do nothing to prevent the damage caused by
exposing cold eggs to humid air. That is an almost instant process
that
no dessicant can possibly prevent.
