Given the recent threads about storing brine shrimp eggs once the can is open- has anyone ever used any type of dissicents in with the eggs while storing in either the frig or freezer?

Hi Burt,

Some cysts used to come with a bag of dessicant in the can. No more. I think this is because they found an optimum storage humitity that is well above zero percent. Until the experts advise otherwise, I do not use them.

Of course, they would do nothing to prevent the damage caused by exposing cold eggs to humid air. That is an almost instant process that no dessicant can possibly prevent.
