Re: Subject: Re: flow through systems (was RE: [Killietalk] WHAT HAPPENED

For Wright's article on the siphon system, see the AKA site at: http://aka.org/member-services/modules/tinycontent0/content/libary/flow_through.html

The URL he gave still works, but probably in a week or so, won't. I am in the late stages of transferring the whole site the the content management system that is currently used for Member Services. There will then not be a separate Member Services area, but the various services will be available to a variable extent to users, depending on their registration status and membership in the AKA.

How are you using these "J" tubes? If it is a simple "J" then it will lose
its prime and go empty as soon as the siphon action has dropped the tank
level to the inlet of the tube or when flow is too slow to keep air from
entering the outlet. You must be adding an overflow box on the inlet of the
tube and somehow preventing air from entering the outlet? Seems like when
you add all these devices it might be easier to drill the tanks.

I have been searching for an easier overflow method, but haven't found one
yet. Wright, can you elaborate on your method?
