If you put the boxes on a system with auto water changing with a constant
flow of water and live foods a seven quart shoe box can hold up to 50
gardneri type for four weeks at that time they will be over a inch long and
starting to sex out.

50%/day wouldn't be too much of a water change.  Once they start
growing 30/box will be way too many, so be prepared to transfer them
to other tanks.
