You can use a pinch of Miracle grow, probably the less expensive. You can
buy U-grow alguae culture kit to get green water, on
www.florida-aqua-farms.com , go on the site,click culture kit., with the
Micro Algae Grow bottle you will get the greenest culture you want. If you
have green water, may be you can buy  the bottle only, I didn't check. Keep
a lamp ( 100 Watt ) 24 hours/ day over the green water.
