RE: [Killietalk] re: hybrids, goldstein

"Second, evolution is [only] a THEORY"

I've been ignoring most of here but this is the single most destructive
sentence I've seen spewing from the mouths of certain factions of our
country and it really pisses me off to see it here. To claim that
evolutionary theory is on shaky ground is to pervert the truth and is
damaging education across the country. This sentence reveals a profound
ignorance as to how science actually works.

That evolution happens is a fact; how it occurs is theory (which is where
this argument started).

Here's a good page I googled with quotes from SJ Gould, and H.J. Muller.
They get the point across much more eloquently than I do.

well Robert, you seem to have yourself a fairly high podium there. First of
all, I never even brought up religion in this subject. Second, evolution is
a THEORY, grab a dictionary and look it up, maybe your education is the
problem here. Third, NO ONE alive today was around thousands of years ago
so prove me anything there. Carbon dating has been disproven time and time
again. I have read studies by scientists who have aged cattle bones under
various conditions and so-called experts in carbon dating have dated bones
millions of years old.. Get off your podium and join the real discussion,
there were no flames here till you stepped up and opened your big mouth. No
one asked for it, no one brought up religion versus evolution, no one cared.
talk about ignorant and worthless posts, you sure brought one out. Kyle
